Open House (Fun Nights)

You can Join the Fun and try Square Dancing for yourself.
Start with a FREE FUN Night.

Fun Nights are the introductory time set aside to introduce people to the fun and fellowship of Square Dancing. A time to let people experience the fun of square dancing.

Fun nights are Free (not much is these days). If you decide to take lessons, the lesson costs are typically three to five dollars per person per class. Pretty inexpensive for an evening out with a smile! Families, Singles, Teens, and Couples welcome.

  • No special attire is required.

  • IF YOU CAN WALK...YOU CAN SQUARE DANCE!

  • No special skills are necessary or needed for square dancing, you'll learn your left hand from your right hand! (You probably think you already know but you'll see.)

  • Square dancing will add years to your life, build strong bones, gives you good cardiovascular conditioning and provides good rehabilitation while recovering from heart or knee surgery.

  • Dancing is a positive alternative to aerobic dancing/exercise or jogging.

  • Modern Square dancing is the world's greatest social mixer, using the non-alcoholic stimulants of FUN and FELLOWSHIP.

  • Square Dancing contains a social component that solitary fitness endeavors don't.

  • It gives you an opportunity to develop strong social ties which contribute to self-esteem and a positive outlook.

IF YOU ARE NOT NOW ENJOYING SQUARE DANCING, YOU ARE MISSING:

  • A life-long recreational enjoyment.

  • Friendships that span boundaries.

  • An activity suited for couples, singles/solos, families, and teens.

Square Dancing is like the ultimate game of Simon Says. See for yourself. Click Here to see Animated Images that show how to perform each movement. The web site is in Japan but that doesn't matter because square dancing uses English names for the movements (known as "calls") all around the world. There are also CDROMs showing the Movements and you can play, step, rewind and see how each movement/call is done.
