WALK THE PLANK SQUARE DANCE CRUISE
Hello, Square Dancers! We finally have the scoop on the WALK THE PLANK SQUARE DANCE CRUISE.
Skip Brown and Jerry Maurice will call and Betty Ann Brown will cue. If Skip and Jerry refuse to call the same stuff we’re dancing, they WALK THE PLANK! Just a friendly warning to the callers! For those who haven't been in square dancing long enough to remember WALK THE PLANK, from a column formation, all, circulate one position, then the person facing out on each end runs to the right while the 2 inside couples walk and dodge. You've just WALKED THE PLANK.
This is an 8 day cruise on the Carnival Legend, sailing from New York on Saturday, 09-09-06 and returning on Sunday, 09-17-06. For those who still punch a clock, this is an 8 day cruise for only 5 vacation days! The itinerary is New York-San Juan-St Thomas-Tortola-New York. The Legend is one of 4 ships in Carnival’s Spirit Class (Spirit, Pride, and Miracle are the others). We have been on the Spirit 3 times, and the Legend and the Miracle once each.We believe the Spirit Class are among the best ships at sea. Matched against our 7 day Load the Boat cruise to Bermuda in 2003, the cost per day is actually less for an 8 day cruise on a newer, larger, better ship! Inside cabins are $845 or $105 per day vs $111 for Load the Boat. Outsides are $995 or $124 per day vs $132. Balcony cabins are $1125. Rates are per person and are based on double occupancy and DO include all port fees/taxes. Also included are 4 dance sessions (2 indoor and 2 outdoor), free Welcome Aboard Cocktail Party, free Group Photo (2 copies per cabin if there are 2 different last names! Thank you, Carnival!), and free WALK THE PLANK souvenir t-shirt. As before, Rainbow Cruises is providing a $50 per cabin discount. This discount has already been factored into the above rates. A $100 per person deposit guarantees your space on the WALK THE PLANK cruise. A second deposit of $200 per person is due by 04-04-06 and final payment is due by 06-20-06.
Those who sailed to Bermuda
will recall the problems the ship gave us about split the pot and
door prize tickets. This time, we will pre-sell them.
If anyone desires to take part in the door prize and split the
pot drawings, please include a $10 check payable to Rainbow
Cruises when you make your booking. You will get two door
prize tickets and eight split the pot tickets.
