Are there any dues for a club to participate?

Yes, dues are kept to $20.00 per year.

How does a club join NSSARDA?

Contact the current Corresponding Secretary for a "Questionnaire" 

How long does it take for a club to be accepted for membership?

Upon receipt of the completed "Questionnaire", a vote will be taken by the officers and delegates present at the next Delegates Meeting.

NOTE: There are four Delegates’ Meetings per year.

What is NSSARDA’s Primary Goal?

Its primary goal is to be a coordinating body for its members and to provide a forum where these clubs can initiate, discuss and propose various issues.

What are some of the other activities that NSSARDA sponsors?

Annual "Banner Meeting"

- Meet other Banner Chairpersons, discuss Banner Guidelines, exchange dance schedules, book raids/retrievals, present suggestions to improve the program, and discuss banner problems or any other business that you may want to present.

Map Book

- Map books are published periodically providing a detailed map for each club. Also, listed is a contact person(s) for each of these clubs, a listing of square dance and western wear shops, and a listing of NSSARDA officers and committee heads.

Group Insurance

- Liability insurance is available to member clubs at a group rate which is significantly lower than a club could purchase as an individual club.

Leadership Seminars

- These are run by NSSARDA officers or selected experienced persons when possible.

NSSARDA Booth

- Staffing of a booth at both the New England and National Square and Round Dance Conventions is provided, when possible.

NSSARDA Fund Raising Events

- Special NSSARDA sponsored dances is held each year to raise funds for the association.

Dance Calendar Listings

- A comprehensive dance schedule by date is published frequently during the year. This dance schedule incorporates all the dance schedules submitted by the member NSSARDA clubs into one (1) comprehensive schedule and is formatted by date.
